brunch spot in Baltimore 2 4

Everyone likes brunch, don’t they? There are so many wonderful places in Boise, Idaho, to have brunch on the weekends—I haven’t had time to list them all here! You need look no further if you’re ever in the Treasure Valley and are wondering where to go to brunch.

We have put up a list of the top 20 brunch spots in Boise, all of which I’ve either visited or have heard great things about from reliable friends and family.

This list includes brunch options for all tastes, from the traditional American breakfast (my personal favorite) to something a little more adventurous (bacon flight, anyone?).

There is something for every palate in Boise, from a wide variety of inventive variations on the classic eggs Benedict to an abundance of dessert options.

Best Brunch Spots in Boise

20 Best Brunch Spots in Boise

1. St. Lawrence Gridiron

Location: 705 W Bannock St, Boise, ID 83702

Brunch Menu:

  • Smoked Brisket
  • Poutine
  • Fried Chicken Sandwich
  • Deviled Eggs
  • Pulled Pork Tacos

St. Lawrence Gridiron

Not only does St. Lawrence Gridiron have some of the best wings in Boise and incredibly juicy smoked brisket, but they also have some of the best brunch fare.

Very little about this place is unpleasant. On the front patio, you can see a large smoker that St. Lawrence uses to smoke their own meat in-house.

In addition to being contemporary, minimalist, and cozy, the restaurant’s streetside patio is the ideal spot to get together in the warmer months.

In addition to much more, brunch options include delectable dishes like poutine, shrimp and grits, and a delicious smoked-brisket benedict.

2. Huck House Brunchette

Location: 7135 W State St, Garden City, ID 8371

Brunch Menu:

  • Lemon Ricotta Pancakes
  • Chorizo Breakfast Burrito
  • Avocado Toast
  • Huevos Rancheros
  • Brioche French Toast

Huck House Brunchette

At the Huck House Brunchette, everything is designed to be impressive. There are many different options on the mimosa menu, such as the Tiffany-blue mimosas with “diamond” salt rims and specialty flavors like hibiscus flower and watermelon-agave fresca.

Another intriguing option is the Gold Digger, which includes edible gold glitter in the mixture. For your group, you can order a mimosa flight or a mimosa tree if you can’t decide which mimosa to get!

With a Huck House twist, the brunch menu offers traditional brunch dishes (and the portions are rather big).

There is something for everyone, including a build-your-own Hipster Toast menu in addition to traditional morning fare like omelets, bowls, and benedicts.

3. Biscuit and Hogs

Location:  2032 E Overland Rd #130, Meridian, ID 83642

Brunch Menu:

  • Buttermilk Biscuits and Gravy
  • Chicken Fried Steak
  • Bacon Flight
  • Pulled Pork Sandwich
  • Mac and Cheese

Biscuit and Hogs

The typical brunch fare you’ll find most eateries offer is elevated to a whole new level at Biscuit and Hogs. Everything about Biscuit and Hogs shouts that calories are not an issue for them.

Ensuring food is as flavorful, gratifying, and delectable as possible is the main goal.

Classic brunch fare, such as scrambles, breakfast burritos, and chicken and waffles, are offered in elevated forms.

Or you can have one of the restaurant’s specialty dishes, such as the Smoked Brisket Benny served with onion straws and smoky bacon hollandaise, Meatloaf Hash, Ribeye and Eggs, or Chipotle Chicken Benedicts.

4. Bacon

Location: 121 N 9th St, Boise, ID 83702

Brunch Menu:

  • Bacon Flight
  • Breakfast Tacos
  • Bacon Mac and Cheese
  • French Toast
  • BLT Sandwich

Bacon

Those who enjoy bacon will be in their element here buying “bacon shots” that include five different unique bacon varieties: candied bacon, maple rosemary, scorching hot, Kurobuta, and Berryhill signature bacon with sweet chile.

There are several inventive twists on traditional dishes on the breakfast and brunch menu, such as the Benny Hill Benedict with chipotle hollandaise, the Brioche French toast with peanut butter and bananas, and The Hash with sliced beef, southern gravy, mushrooms, and chipotle onions.

The menu has an entire section dedicated to biscuits and gravy, which is perfect for those like me who adore biscuits and gravy.

One item in particular is the “Monroe,” which consists of locally produced sausage from Snake River Farms served in a tower with sausage patties, fried eggs, gravy, and biscuits.

5. Goldy’s

Location: 108 S Capitol Blvd, Boise, ID 83702

Brunch Menu:

  • Eggs Benedict
  • Red Flannel Hash
  • French Toast
  • Salmon Omelette
  • Biscuits and Gravy

Goldy’s

A list of local brunch spots wouldn’t be complete without Goldy’s, a nationally acclaimed breakfast and brunch restaurant based in Boise.

On this list, Goldy’s has been in operation the longest, having opened its doors back in 1999. Atmosphere: Goldy’s is cheery, colorful, and inviting.

High-quality ingredients produced locally are a source of great pride for Goldy’s. Since everything at Goldy’s is prepared fresh daily, you can be sure of the quality and freshness, which might be difficult to come by in today’s world.

Along with more traditional selections like breakfast platters and fresh fruit plates, the menu also includes lunch-related items like burgers and sandwiches.

However, the house-made frittatas and hollandaise benedicts are the menu items that truly stand out. One of my favorites is the Potato and Dill Frittata, which I heartily suggest.

6. Rembrandt’s

Location: 93 S Eagle Rd, Eagle, ID 83616

Brunch Menu:

  • Avocado Toast
  • Quiche Lorraine
  • Belgian Waffle
  • Turkey and Brie Sandwich
  • Greek Salad

Rembrandt’s

When I inquired on the This Is Boise Facebook page and Instagram about your favorite brunch spots, Rembrandt’s was a favorite.

Rembrandt’s is housed in an enchanting and recognizable church structure in Eagle’s downtown.

With a variety of breakfast burritos, scrambles, quesadillas, bowls, breakfast sandwiches, and six distinct Benedicts to select from, Rembrandt’s breakfast and brunch offerings are rather robust.

In the warmer months, Rembrandt’s patio is breathtaking, and the full bar serves everything from artisan cocktails to mimosas.

7. A Café

Location: 109 S 10th St, Boise, ID 83702

Brunch Menu:

  • Spinach and Feta Omelette
  • French Toast
  • Chicken Caesar Wrap
  • Cobb Salad
  • Breakfast Burrito

A Café

A café—pronounced like “aye café”—is a relatively new restaurant in downtown Boise that has swiftly grown to be one of my favorite spots to eat at any time of day.

Although I haven’t had brunch here officially, Korri and I became enamored with their morning burritos when they were served as part of a dinner special. ENTHUSIASTIC.

In Boise, it’s the greatest! They are enormous, incredibly tasty, and packed full of eggs, potatoes, and beans. Korri like adding avocado and bacon, and I always add avocado to mine.

8. The Griddle

Location: 404 E Parkcenter Blvd #200, Boise, ID 83706

Brunch Menu:

  • Banana Nut Pancakes
  • Crab Cake Benedict
  • Denver Omelette
  • Breakfast Quesadilla
  • Cinnamon Roll Pancakes

The Griddle

The Griddle, another beloved Boise institution, is renowned for being well worth the wait.

To get your name added to the list, visit this East Boise (or, mercifully, Meridian or Eagle) site. While you wait, you can take a cup of coffee from them.

Once inside, you can observe the employees preparing freshly squeezed orange juice by glancing back at the diner counter. It is quite lovely.

9. Eggman & Earl

Location: 650 E Boise Ave, Boise, ID 83706

Brunch Menu:

  • Eggs Benedict
  • Chorizo Scramble
  • Pancakes
  • Breakfast Burrito
  • Biscuits and Gravy

Eggman & Earl

Visit this East Boise breakfast establishment to travel back in time or to a retro realm after being seated, you are offered a complimentary scone that tastes like a fluffy, airy beignet, perhaps its long-lost relative.

Open only for breakfast, these chefs don’t play around. There is something for every taste on their wide menu, and you won’t go hungry.

Location: 2520 Fairview Ave, Boise, ID 83702

Brunch Menu:

  • Chicken Fried Steak
  • Denver Omelette
  • French Toast
  • Huevos Rancheros
  • Belgian Waffle

Capri

Wikipedia defines a greasy spoon as “a small, inexpensive eatery that usually specializes in fried foods or home-cooked meals.”

But in all honesty, I think you could call it Capri’s. Situated at the westernmost point of Boise’s downtown, this classic diner-style restaurant serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch, effectively blending the tastes of the Treasure Valley.

Boiseans, young or old, wealthy or impoverished, adore the Capri breakfast menu’s curative qualities. You can anticipate a wait and some of the greatest breakfast cuisine you’ve ever had here.

11. Joe Momma’s Breakfast Eatery

Location: 3510 N Eagle Rd, Meridian, ID 83646

Brunch Menu:

  • Corned Beef Hash
  • Stuffed French Toast
  • Eggs Benedict
  • Veggie Omelette
  • Biscuits and Gravy

Joe Momma's Breakfast Eatery

Even if the Treasure Valley is expanding, Joe Momma’s will give you the impression that you’re in the middle of nowhere.

Idaho staples like plated or burrito-style chicken fried steak are available on their menu. come your friends and family, but most of all, a hungry stomach.

What quality does the Totally Boise team adore the most? The waiters can tell when you’ve had enough coffee or when you need a refill without having to ask.

12. Deja Brew Laugh A Latte

Location:  112 E Idaho Ave, Meridian, ID 83642

Brunch Menu:

  • Breakfast Burrito
  • Bagel and Lox
  • Quiche
  • Avocado Toast
  • Cinnamon Roll

Deja Brew Laugh A Latte

The members of the Friends cast would probably feel right at home at this adorable, art-filled cafe located in the heart of downtown Meridian.

Brunch, with its daily preparation of farm-fresh ingredients, will arrive or be placed in front of you faster than you can laugh at the witty pun in the name.

You can come in for a quick bite to eat on the run stay for a while to work remotely or catch up with loved ones.

Location:  6630 W State St, Boise, ID 83714

Brunch Menu:

  • Scones
  • Country Fried Steak
  • Pancakes
  • Bacon and Eggs
  • Biscuits and Gravy

Merritt's

Since 1975, Merrit’s—Boise’s BEST place for comfort food—has been grilling up traditional Idaho breakfast favorites.

Every long-time resident of Idaho has at least one Merritt’s tale. Since the restaurant is open around-the-clock, you can satisfy your desire for brunch at any time of day.

Our absolute favorite dish is the Breakfast Bowl, which consists of hash browns, sausage, eggs, and a delicious gravy sauce that feels like it would swaddle a newborn baby. And of course, a scones!

14. Le Baron’s Honker Cafe

Location: 1210 2nd St S, Nampa, ID 83651

Brunch Menu:

  • Honker Omelette
  • Chicken Fried Steak
  • Pancakes
  • French Toast
  • Biscuits and Gravy

Le Baron's Honker Cafe

Le Baron’s Honker Cafe is a workplace favorite and was also highlighted in my quest for the Best BLT in the Treasure Valley blog.

Their traditional breakfast dishes are a must-try, and they are served in a charming downtown Nampa with fresh produce and friendly servers.

Parking in Downtown Nampa is quite convenient and frequently free, making it well worth the trek even from the most eastern portions of Boise.

15. Bardenay

Location: 610 W Grove St, Boise, ID 83702

Brunch Menu:

  • Fish and Chips
  • Bison Burger
  • Ahi Salad
  • Chicken Satay
  • Veggie Wrap

Bardenay

One of our very favorite places for breakfast is Bardenay! We go there for dinner at any time of day, but their brunch is very delicious.

The traditional Bardenay breakfast of scrambled eggs, ham, and potatoes is my favorite, but the French toast always hits the spot when I’m in the mood for something sweet.

Their spicy chicken bacon eggs benedict is Korri’s favorite food. Remember to have a Mexican coffee cocktail or a mimosa as well!

Bardenay is open seven days a week for lunch, supper, and late night in addition to Sunday brunch. Another facility is in Eagle, which is northwest of Boise.

16. Stardust

Location: 1002 W Main St, Boise, ID 83702

Brunch Menu:

  • Avocado Toast
  • Breakfast Burrito
  • Pancakes
  • Chorizo Scramble
  • Huevos Rancheros

Stardust

One of the newest restaurants in downtown Boise is Stardust, which is located in the location where Asiago’s had stood at the intersection of Main and 10th.

Stardust is the place to go if you want a somewhat finer brunch experience in an upscale, mid-century modern setting with a patio! I really liked my two-egg breakfast with ham, and I definitely suggest it!

I also replaced the toast or biscuits with an arugula-based herb salad! You should budget a little more than you might at other locations. Except on Mondays, Stardust is open daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for brunch.

17. Western Proper

Location: 610 W Idaho St, Boise, ID 83702

Brunch Menu:

  • Breakfast Burger
  • Avocado Toast
  • Biscuits and Gravy
  • Chicken and Waffles
  • Omelette

Western Proper

The same folks who own Garden City’s most exciting local brewery, Western Collective, also own Western Proper.

Situated in the center of downtown Boise, Western Proper has a full cuisine and brews from the Western Collective! On sunny weekends, you may enjoy brunch on the CUTEST terrace.

The breakfast burrito was tasty, and the French toast with cinnamon rolls was also excellent! Remember to bring the mimosas. Every day in the late afternoon and evening, Western Proper is open. Sundays and Saturdays are when brunch is served.

18. Tavern At Bow

Location: 3111 S Bown Way, Boise, ID 83706

Brunch Menu:

  • Prime Rib Hash
  • Eggs Benedict
  • Breakfast Burrito
  • Belgian Waffle
  • Smoked Salmon Bagel

Tavern At Bow

With a Sunday brunch, Tavern is located directly across the street from Locavore. My usual breakfast of choice is a basic French toast or egg dish, as you can undoubtedly tell by now.

Both are highly recommended! Although my family enjoys their sushi, I don’t eat sushi, but they also have excellent burgers and salads if lunch is more your style.

Tavern is open daily for supper and lunch except on Sundays. It is also open for brunch on Sundays.

19. Fork

Location: 199 N 8th St, Boise, ID 83702

Brunch Menu:

  • Cast Iron Seared Brussels Sprouts
  • Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
  • Fork Burger
  • Quinoa Salad
  • Prime Rib Dip

Fork

Fork is an audience favorite and well-known for its distinctive, regional cuisine! Although I haven’t personally experienced breakfast here, I’ve had several amazing dinners at Fork.

Their brunch sounds delicious, and I can’t wait to experience it! My eyes are set on the BAM omelet and a frosé (or should I have build-your-own mimosas?).

Fork has Bloody Marys if you’re a fan. Fork is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and supper.

20. Cottonwood Grille

Location: 913 W River St, Boise, ID 83702

Brunch Menu:

  • Idaho Trout
  • Filet Mignon
  • Caesar Salad
  • Crab Cakes
  • Duck Breast

Cottonwood Grille

The Cottonwood Grille is a fine dining restaurant that opened in 1999 and specializes in northwest cuisine. For the lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch menus, Chef Jesus Alcelay crafts delectable meals using seasonal ingredients that are found locally.

The Basque omelet with chorizo, sautéed garlic, onions, bell peppers, and manchego cheese, as well as the Benedict with poached eggs and grilled smoked pig loin on English muffins with béarnaise sauce, are two savory brunch menu dishes to look out for.

This is a tranquil location for a leisurely brunch, with a lovely patio situated alongside the banks of the stunning Boise River and Greenbelt.

Final Words

Brunch lovers have found their oasis in Boise! Everybody may find something they enjoy at the best brunch venues in Boise, from inventive takes on classic meals to delectable farm-to-table fare.

Whether you’re traveling or a native, don’t forget to put these excellent restaurants on your weekend itinerary. Savor a gastronomic voyage and discover the friendly welcome that Boise has to offer.
