The eateries and restaurants listed below were chosen based on our experience and reviews from customers.

1. Sour Duck Market

1814 E Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Austin, TX, United States, Texas

Sour Duck Market

It’s a large, open-air area with a menu that features locally sourced, authentic, and distinctive Austin cuisine. Sour Duck Market satisfies every requirement.

It’s a huge outdoor area with a gravel floor and picnic tables. The sister establishment of Odd Duck, possibly Austin’s most well-known farm-to-table eatery, is called Sour Duck Market.

And while Odd Duck is a bit too fancy for young children, so you probably won’t want to try having a wonderful supper there with your toddler, Sour Duck is a fantastic substitute.

You don’t have to worry about keeping bums seated for too long at Sour Duck Market because each table has QR codes that can be used to place an order, pay, and leave a tip. Children can play with trucks in the rocks, stand up, and walk around while you wait for dinner.

Their menu is amazing, consisting of foraged, locally farmed, and farm-fresh products. (It’s an excellent option if you’re new to Austin and want to sample some of our culinary traditions!)

However, your kids may also enjoy a burger, cheese quesadilla, or pretzels with queso thanks to their kids’ menu.

2. Patrizi’s

Phone:

Address:
462-466 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10016

Patrizi's

Patrizi’s is a family-operated food truck located in east Austin, serving some of the best handmade pasta in the city, and has a large outdoor area perfect for kids to run around in.

These three factors make it one of the greatest brunch spots in Austin for families. It’s the finest.

The entire area is walled in, which is ideal for a busy part of east Austin that’s close to the UT campus, and the food truck is parked outside the Monarch.

Their pasta is very, very good. It’s a favorite among pasta fans in Austin, but you can definitely get your finicky child to eat a plate of basic noodles with butter.

Patrizi’s is a restaurant in Austin that is great for families with young children and serves delicious food.

3. Tacodeli (Spyglass Location)

Phone: (512) 732-0303
Address:
1500 Spyglass Dr Suite B, Austin, TX 78746

Tacodeli (Spyglass Location)

One of the biggest names in the Austin taco market is Taco Deli, and tacos are usually great. The reason I bring up the original Spyglass location is because it’s adjacent to a Greenbelt entrance.

The trailhead is right there so your older children can go hurl rocks or whatever else they want to do. This is a great option if you’re looking for an Austin kid-friendly restaurant where they can get up and walk around without needing your continual supervision.

Alternatively, you might begin with a pre-meal trek to get everyone energized and then head to Taco Deli for tacos, queso, and margaritas.

4. Whole Foods (Lamar)

Actually, this is a grocery store. But if you approach this with an open mind, you’ll soon discover why Austin’s premier Whole Foods Market downtown is among the city’s top kid-friendly dining options.

First off, there’s a playground on the rooftop that’s usually empty. There’s plenty of shade, tables, and room to run around, but you kind of have to know that it’s there (it’s not marketed).

If you’re ever in Austin sans kids, grab a glass of wine at Whole Foods and settle into an Adirondack chair with a friend or a book. It’s also a terrific place to watch the sunset over the city from a rooftop.

Almost any type of Japanese food you might want is available inside, including individually sized cans of sake and freshly prepared sushi. Alternatively, enjoy their smoked barbecue served with a refreshing Texas craft beer.

Indulge in a rich salad made with ingredients that are acquired locally, and there is an abundance of pizza for the kids. (Alternatively, you could just eat the delicious pizza here!) You can find whatever cuisine you wish here.

5. Easy Tiger

Phone:

Address: 3508 S Lamar Blvd #300, Austin, TX 78704

Easy Tiger

Easy Tiger, which has a few locations throughout the city, is one of the most kid-friendly, delicious, entertaining, and Austin-esque eateries around.

They create their own sourdough bread, enormous pretzels, and dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Families with little children will love this location!

Easy Tiger East is a great place to take kids because it has an abundance of green space, covered picnic tables, and yard activities like big Jenga, cornhole, and ping pong.

They feature one of the best kid’s menus in town, a wonderful selection of Texas craft beers, and some of the best smoked pastrami sandwiches.

6. Camp Out

Phone:

Camp Out

An outdoor restaurant with a playground in Austin that welcomes dogs and kids? Yes! S’mores and other warm, comforting dishes are available at Camp Out. and a really cozy vibe for families.

There isn’t any interior seating at Yard Bar because it’s a walk-up window. You can easily enjoy al fresco dining, though, thanks to the playscape, dog-friendly fenced area, and plenty of outside seating, including picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, and firepits for nice evenings.

7. Lou’s

Phone:

This is one of the easiest, most laid-back places to hang out in Austin. It belongs to the venerable MMH restaurant business, which also owns Lambert’s, Perla’s, and Clark’s Oyster Bar.

Almost everything they do is expertly branded and offers delicious food. Lou’s is a great family restaurant since it has a large patio, tasty food (including ice cream!), and parking available in a well-liked east Austin location.

8. Saddle Up

This small east Austin bungalow includes beer, coffee, homemade pastries, and a big garden. Out back, there are two food trucks: Micklethwait, an award-winning BBQ truck, and Taco Bronco, a fun taco truck that serves Micklethwait-smoked meats.

Both trucks are wonderful, and their menus are somewhat family-friendly. Adults can have some beer or other pleasant beverages, kids can play outside, and everyone is pleased!

8. Fresa’s

Big tables, a spacious outside patio with creekside dining, and a lively environment can be found at Fresa’s on South First Street.

Aside from having some of the best grilled chicken tacos, margaritas, and homemade churros in Austin, they also have a wonderful kids menu and plenty of space in case your family’s crazy 6 p.m. tendencies emerge.

Remember that there isn’t a playground here. Try Flores Mexican Restaurant for Tex Mex meals if you have kids that really need that and you’re craving it.

9. Culinary Dropout

: (512) 992-2946
Address:
1703 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78704

Culinary Dropout

Culinary Dropout is an awesome restaurant located in the Domain in north Austin. The finest feature is the enormous outside green space that is just next to the restaurant, even though they also serve breakfast, cocktails, and American comfort cuisine.

In ATX, the cold spring evenings are perfect for little ones to romp around in while parents savor some food that *actually* tastes good.

10. Hank’s

Phone:
(512) 609-8077
Address:
5811 Berkman Dr, Austin, TX 78723

Hank's

To begin with, the kids menu at this all-day café is excellent! Their terrace is one of the biggest that you will find and is a lovely, roomy place to eat in Austin.

In addition to offering several kid-friendly items on its regular menu (such as burgers and fries), Hank’s now offers a kids menu called PRAISES.

It’s a terrific option to bring a stroller (you won’t bump into tables when you try to get to yours) or to let little children play with toys, trucks, or blocks beside the table while you wait for your food because the outdoor patio is one of the largest patios I’ve seen in Austin.

11. Fareground Food Hall

Phone:
(512) 465-2107
Address:
111 Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78701

Fareground Food Hall

In search of a kid-friendly brunch spot in Austin’s downtown? Perfect is how Fareground Food Hall is! Choose your meal from a walk-up food booth, and if the weather is nice, you can eat it outside while the kids play on the hilly, shaded grass.

Austin’s largest food hall, Fareground, features six restaurants, two bars, lunch, happy hour, supper, and brunch service.

12. Oasthouse

Phone:
(737) 222-5779

8300 N FM 620 e, Austin, TX 78726

Oasthouse

This eatery offers restaurant cuisine that has been upgraded, which is a fancy way of expressing that there’s a lot more to this place than just burgers, fries, and chicken fingers.

There are many items on the menu that are better categorized as “American favorites,” despite the strong German influences (such as the house pretzel, the IPA braised pork + spatzle, and the chicken schnitzel sandwich).

Everything is available, including wagyu steak and fries, shishito peppers, and cacciatore pasta with smoked kielbasa and a creamy tomato sauce.

This isn’t necessarily the place to go if you want to find the BEST food in Austin while you’re there. However, if you’re a local and all you need is a place to eat GOOD cuisine while the kids play, this is it.

There are several enormous televisions, a terrace, and a fenced-in playground. Their happy hour is also very amazing.

13. Oakmont Food Co.

Phone:
(512) 433-6011
Address:
1106 W 38th St, Austin, TX 78705

Oakmont Food Co.

There is a teeny-tiny play area for small children (teeny!), but if you’re looking for a toddler-friendly dining venue in Austin, Oakmont is a terrific choice.

The play area is only a little area of turf beneath the steps, but if you add a few toys and a truck or two, your child may be delighted for a while.

Oakmont features a fantastic café menu featuring salads, sandwiches, and amusing appetizers and cocktails.

Who in Austin makes the best Pizza? We located it.Hear me out: this is unquestionably one of the most famous brewpubs in Austin, and it’s also great for kids. Generally speaking, breweries are great places to take the family because they’re large, informal, and noisy.

ABGB is enjoyable due to its recognition as one of the top major brewpubs in the nation, their fantastic pizza for kids and an expanded menu of sandwiches and appetizers for adults, and their wonderful beer.

Austin truly delivers on its promise of being the “live music capital of the world,” as there is a stage featuring live music on weekends.

15. Pinthouse Pizza

Kids will enjoy all the numerous destinations! Order your pizza at the counter, select a table (there are large picnic tables so you can eat with a large party or share a table with others), and have a beer while you wait for your food are the identical procedures at each site.

Pretty about everyone in Austin likes this laid-back, loud, family-friendly restaurant, and they have some fantastic nationally recognized IPAs on tap. Not to mention, their pizza is really good.

16. Meanwhile Brewing

Kid-friendly Brunch Spots in Austin

Without a doubt, this is a fantastic choice for family-friendly dining in ATX! also features an enormous outside area with a fantastic playground in the middle of it.

Some kid-friendly food trucks are there, such as Pueblos Viejo’s tacos and Side Eye Pie’s pizza, but the most entertaining is Distant Relatives, a James Beard Award-nominated chef’s African-inspired BBQ truck that’s among Austin’s best.

Meanwhile is a terrific place to take the whole family for a fun and educational Austin supper.

17. Koko’s Bavarian

Phone:
(512) 428-4177
Address:
4715 E 5th St., Austin, TX 78702

Koko's Bavarian

Because Koko’s brews its own German lagers, it is officially a brewery, although it feels more like a restaurant than a typical brewery.

Young people who require room to stand up and roam around will love the outdoor German Biergarten, and the food is enjoyable for all ages.

18. Jester King

Address: 13187 Fitzhugh Rd, Austin, TX 78736

Jester King

Even though there are a lot of playgrounds at Dripping Springs breweries, Jester King is included in this list of kid-friendly eateries since they have some of Austin’s best pizza and beer.

After spending around thirty minutes driving from the city center, you’ll be glad you took the trip to the 200-acre ranch, which has a playground, goat farm, kitchen, and brewery.

19. Home Slice

Phone:
(512) 444-7437
Address:
1415 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704

Home Slice

One of the most known and iconic restaurant names in Austin; they also have excellent meatball subs and pizza in the style of New York.

The north site is your best option if you’re dining with children, even though the old South Congress location has a wonderfully exciting vibe to it.

Little ones can run about in the on-site turf playspace while you wait for your pizza. Craft wine, craft beer, and craft cocktails are also available!

20. Little Deli

Phone:
(512) 467-7402
Address:
7101 Woodrow Ave Unit A, Austin, TX 78757

Little Deli

Little Deli is a lesser-known name than Homeslice, although many Austinites in the area swear that their NY-style pie is better.

Nevertheless, it’s a terrific small neighborhood hangout with picnic tables, black and white cookies, delicious sandwiches, and pizza,  and a great family-friendly vibe.
